Director, QHSES Risk and Assurance - Dubai - Leading EPCI Contractor

Main Duties : Brevan are currently looking for a Director, QHSES Risk and Assurance to work for our client who is a leading EPCI Contractor with global operations in the oil and gas industry. Role Statement: Director, QHSES Risk and Assurance is responsible for ensuring that the IMS requirements are implemented, resourced appropriately and operating as expected and intended. Duties involved: - Subject matter expert in risk management processes at an operational and organizational level. - Oversight for the implementation and improvement of security management within the MEA. - Emergency management planning, including business continuity and crisis management. - Review and update of key QHSES procedures. - Develop/ review/ update MEA QHSES Business Management System (BMS) in line with corporate and legislative requirements. - Responsible for maintenance of multiple certifying body certifications. - Interface with regulatory bodies and industry groups on compliance and industry best practice matters. - Manage a continual improvement process within the area, work with department heads to set targets, feedback effectiveness of audit findings and institute “Preventive Measures” in collaboration. - Gathers data and ensures timely preparation for Annual Management Review, analysis and identify area of improvement. - Interfaces with Six Sigma activities ongoing in the Area. - Develop MEA BMS Assurance Audit Schedule and Activity Plan. - Conduct Planned Audits on Operations and Project Activities – Onshore and Offshore. - Manages implementation of customer satisfaction program. - Takes delegation for parallel and Senior QHSES roles as directed. Minimum of 20 years Oil and Gas construction and process, minimum 10 in HSE related function and a strong Quality background are essential for this role. Long term/ residential role Location: Jebel Ali Freezone, Dubai. Education : Degree/ Diploma in Safety or Environmental Management or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, although other equivalent qualifications may be considered.
